UPDATED: Obama wins Democrat's Abroad primary by 2-1 margin

Thu Feb 21, 2008 at 06:27:26 AM PDT

This is going to be a quick diary, but I wanted to get the good news out to all of my fellow Obama supporters.  In another sweeping post-Feb 5th win, Senator Obama beat Senator Clinton by a margin of 2-1 in the democrats abroad primary.  Obama will win a lion share of the 22 delegates (14 pledged, 8 Super) that are allocated to the winner of the contest (each with half a vote).  This makes it 11 victories in a row for Obama.

Obama Wins Democrats Abroad Contest

Barack Obama has won the Democrats Abroad Global Primary, according to the International Chair for the Democrats Abroad, Christine Marques.

Marques tells CNN the results of the week-long vote were:

Barack Obama – 65 percent, Hillary Clinton – 32 percent, with the rest of the candidates pulling in less than 1 percent of the vote each.

This is more good news for Obama, and a telling sign from a group of people that are in tune with America's image problems around the world.  They have spoken loud and clear that they think Barack Obama is the man that can repair the fractured relationships of Bush-era politics and restore America's standing in the world.

UPDATED:  It appears that even though he won by a 33 percent margin, Senator Obama will only win the delegates by a margin of 5-4.  This will give him 2.5 voting delegates to 2.0 voting delegates for Senatory Clinton.  The other 2.5 voting delegates will be awarded later at the Democrats Abroad convention.
