Updated: Aw, hell no, don't you dare do this again!

This is directed to my good old buddies in the MSN. Today, the American people finally got the first glance into the life of Hillary Clinton during her eight years of first lady. The national archives released over 11,000 pages of documents relating to Hillary Clinton's schedule during the Clinton Administration. This schedule provides unprecedented insight into exactly how involved Hillary Clinton was in the Clinton administration policies. The schedule finally shows if Hillary can actually back up the "experience" claims that she has made the cornerstone of her campaign. If you were half-way competent, you would be examining her remarks during the campaign, and seeing if they matched up to her record. But instead, after all of your research, this is the story your dumb asses come up with:
"Clinton in White House during Monica Lewinsky encounters"
More on this after the jump.
CNN, thinks that this is what the story that should be pulled from the release of the Clinton schedule:
Hillary Clinton was in the White House on a half dozen days when her husband had sexual encounters with Monica Lewinsky, according to the first lady's calendars released Wednesday. A look at her schedule on days when Lewinsky said she had sexual encounters with Bill Clinton:
Knowing what lemmings the rest of the MSN are, this will probably be the main takeaway from the schedule on all of the major news networks. CNN thought this was important enough not only to mention, but to provide in detail what Hillary and Monica were doing at the exact same time. Here's a brief sample:
–Nov. 15, 1995: The first lady was in a mid-afternoon "meet & greet" photo opportunity at the White House with various Nobel Laureates and their families. That night, Lewinsky had what she later said was her first sexual encounter with the president in the private study off the Oval office.
–Nov. 17, 1995: Mrs. Clinton had no public schedule and was at the White House. That night, Lewinsky said she had a sexual encounter with the president while he was on the phone in the White House with a member of Congress.
–Dec. 31, 1995: Mrs. Clinton had no public schedule and her calendar does not show her location. That afternoon, Lewinsky said she and the president had a sexual encounter in a study in the White House.
So this means that CNN, instead of hiring someone to compare a list of Hillary's quotes to what was actually on her schedule, they hired someone to sit there with a copy of the Ken Starr report and compare it to her schedule.
This type of reporting is exactly why the average American is in the dark to the actual issues of the campaign. Instead of choosing to engage in journalism, CNN has decided that it would better suit the American people to engage in soap opera.
You want to find the real story? As goodlittlesquid highlighted in an early diary, this would be a good place to start:
The documents offer no support for her claims, made during the presidential campaign, that she helped to negotiate the Irish peace accords or facilitated the flow of refugees in the Balkans. Neither is there evidence in them to back up her claim that she helped pass the Family and Medical Leave Act, the first legislation Mr. Clinton signed as president. The legislation, sponsored by Senator Christopher J. Dodd, Democrat of Connecticut, sailed through Congress and landed on Mr. Clinton’s desk 10 days after he was inaugurated. Indeed, on the day Mr. Clinton signed the bill into law, Feb. 5, 1993, there is no indication on that day’s calendar that she attended.
The documents offer no insight into her role in appointments to key administration posts or in courting donors for her or her husband’s political campaigns.
Seeing if her rhetoric matches up with fact is a SERIOUS story that deserves examination in this campaign.
Presing Hillary on her closed door meeting on NAFTA (which she had previously denied she had any involvement in helping pass) is a SERIOUS story that deserves examination in this campaign.
Anything that even mentions the name of Monica Lewinsky does not. Regardless of who you support, all Democrats should find this narrative abhorrent. Between this and the Wright story, the media is doing the people of this country a disservice by focusing on theater.
I won't stand for it. I am not going to watch the media turn this presidential race into a redux of the "blowjob chronicles". I hope my fellow Kossacks will join me.
